I totally agree.

It hurts to type this, but the Crew are the best team to watch this season when they're on their game. With Schelotto pulling the strings, Moreno holding everything down up front, and Gaven/Rogers running wild on the wings, it's a great style of play.

I'm hoping for RSL to win in the West, I think it will make for the best Cup final. Although if NY can keep Dane Richards at the same level he was against Houston, anything is possible.

Now that the Silverbacks are toast, we can start speculating on an MLS team showing up in the ATL.

The Silverbacks have nothing to do with MLS coming to ATL.

I think there's too much competition for expansion in this round, Atlanta is too far behind when it comes to stadium stuff I think. They don't have anything definitive, while the others do.

My money would go on 2 of the following: Miami, Montreal, Portland, or Vancouver. I'm leaning towards Miami and Vancouver at this point...

Yay Crew! Now the cheerleaders have something to cheer about!

I beg to disagree that the Silverbacks have nothing to do with MLS. Just connect the dots. USL is going to have teams pay 3 mil to them for teams jumping to MLS. The 'Backs are quitting the league to avoid the penalty. Blank and 'backs have forged an agreement for the 'Backs to be the Atl entry. This is a fact.

If King Arthur can pull a deal out of his arse and get a stadium built at the Doraville GM plant location we get a team announcement next weekend. If not we got a while to wait. The developers have signed confidentially agreements with GM so who knows what proposal specifics are out there. There is 0 chance that Arthur Blank inc hasn't tried getting in on the action. If he pulls that off and works a deal with the Backs you have a stadium and a training facility/academy within close proximity done and you are in a better position than most teams in the league.

There's a lot of things that have to happen for MLS to come to Atlanta. We'll see, but I'm extremely skeptical of this happening for the 2011 bid process. Miami, Montreal, Portland, and Vancouver are too far ahead in the process I believe.

The Doraville GM plant would be the ideal location if it can be pulled off. That's a big if though. Kennesaw or northern Gwinnett would not do as well, it would be like Frisco for FC Dallas.

I'm not buying the Silverbacks/MLS connection to that degree just yet. There's a host of other issues in USL right now, and a host of other issues in Atlanta right now. We'll see what happens.
