Yet another reason to hate Peyton Manning

Peyton Manning, on a soccer blog, huh? Just watch this new Sony commercial to find out...

Well, I'll definitely look elsewhere for electronics. Great job Sony! Jerks...

What a major foul up by Sony. Don't they realize that there are more soccer fans in the world than all the other sports combined? I was going to get Sony TV now I will be looking at Samsung.

I remember Miller doing a commercial a while back mocking soccer as well, I always remember it when I'm ordering a beer and get something other than a Miller product.

But why would you hate specifically Peyton Manning for this? Like he wrote the script.

Kind of a running joke on my part. I haven't liked Peyton since he was at Tennessee (I went to Georgia) and have liked him less and less the more I see him in every television commercial known to man.

Throw in different stories about him being a jerk, mooning and putting his bare ass and genitals on a female trainer, then breaking the settlement agreement by writing about it in his book (and throwing in some unnecessary comments about the woman) and you could say I'm not the biggest fan of the guy. Some of the comments he's made about his teammates after losses, placing blame on them, also rubbed me the wrong way.

You know, you have players you like, and some you just can't stand. Peyton is in that second category for me.

Maybe he did write the script, yeah that's the ticket... I hate him even more now...

Now I've got a bone to pick with that camera guy, NASCAR, James Brown and that stupid bird sitting there too ... they all laughed at Peyton's feeble attempt to dis the world's most popular sport. A bunch of soccer hooligans would kick his ass.

And while we're at it... "Peyton" - what in the heck kind of name is that? It sure sounds more like a "soccer" name than a football name. I'll bet he's a jerk because he his mother didn't name him "Joe"

You people are so blind in your Peyton's hatred you're having trouble getting it. Soccer is a joke here in the US. No wonder they all laughed.

Not blind in my Peyton hate, I don't like that guy and said why a few comments earlier.

If it's such a joke, why are you wasting your time posting on an American soccer blog?

I ended up here by googling Peyton, not soccer. And i read why you don't like Peyton and those are only your opinions. The mooning on Tennesse is old story now, move on, unless of course, you're a hater and like to recycle those.

And you have your opinions, you're welcome to them.

Yeah, the Tennessee story is an old one. However, I think it showed a real lack of class, and even less when he brought back up in his book. He hasn't done much since to show he's changed. Just my opinion...

I'm just not a fan, can you be okay with that?

uh, Suhn ... clearly not a citizen of the world ... had you considered that just as YOU do not like soccer, maybe other people do not like Peyton Manning? Maybe you are so blind in your soccer hatred you're having trouble getting it. Football is SOCCER in the rest of the world.

or was it Suhn's "Peyton love" that blinded him?

Yeah... hopefully karma is coming back around on Peyton's laser rocket arm this season. I won't buy some sony crap either, they should know better than to insult any audience they might possibly have.

To Longshoe, i'm ok if you're not a fan, i just jumped in the blog to put my cents in the topic. As for Peyton not changed at all, well, it was bad what he did back then, but since then i haven't seen him getting in trouble at all, like other footballers or athletes. He's already a HOFer whether you like it or not. If you don't like his comments after the games that's another story.

And to anonymous, I never said i didn't like soccer, I do like it, I know football is considered soccer in the rest of the world but it's here in the US where it's less appreciated and promoted. The National team has improved in the last 10 to 15 years but not enough to scare the big shots in Europe. I wanted Klisman to take over but i guess he had other plans. Nothing happened in the last WC. In the ESPYs they awarded David Beckham as the best MLS player when he spent most of the season sitting on a bench injured. Nothing but a joke!
