Atlanta soccer fans, start saving up...

Props to the Silverbacks for bringing some big names to town this summer. CONCACAF Champion Pachuca, Argentine powerhouse Independiente, and Honduran champion Olimpia will be in Atlanta in a 10 day span in July.

Wednesday, July 9- Silverbacks v. Pachuca
Saturday, July 12- Silverbacks v. Independiente
Saturday, July 19- Silverbacks v. Olimpia

The Olimpia match is a testimonial for former Olimpia great, and current Silverbacks assistant coach, Alex Pineda-Chacon.

Parking is $10 for each match. Tickets are $59.50/$39.50 for the Pachuca match and $49.50/$29.50 for the Independiente and Olimpia matches.

I think it's time for me to play the lottery...

That Pachuca game is going to be ace.

Looking at their preseason schedule, they'll play Toronto FC a few days before, then travel to Atlanta.

This game will be their last before SuperLiga starts, so you can bet they'll want to get their big names a lot of PT.

If you thought the Cruz Azul game year was insanity, just wait til Pachuca comes.

Of the three teams coming in, which is the better side? Is Argentina soccer better than Mexican soccer?

Good question. I think the top teams of the Argentine league are stronger than Mexican teams, but the Mexican league is probably more competitive. The biggest problem the Argentine league has is selling off its young stars at early ages.

Independiente is sitting in 5th in Argentina right now. Pachuca was knocked out in the wild card round of the Mexican playoffs, but won the CONCACAF Champions Cup this spring. Olimpia just won the Honduran title and will be involved in the CONCACAF Champions League starting this fall.

All three teams are very strong and should be fun games to see. I'm personally leaning towards seeing Pachuca, and hopefully Independiente.

Since I won't be able to catch all three games, I probably will try for the Independiente match. It will more than likely be the only time I will get to see a team from Argentina.

I wish they were spaced out a bit, or at least gave more warning. I would've liked to have been able to rob a liquor store or something to pay for all these tickets...

Just kidding... Really, I promise.

Seven home games in less than 30 days. That should hopefully help pay for the indoor plumbing.

These games are not for us American citizens. They are for all of the illegals that inhabit our space. No one will be there for the Silverbacks, including you guys.
