Sprinkles: Who ISN'T coming to MLS?
New York: Hopefully he didn't watch the monsoon game yesterday, but it's being reported that Juan Pablo Angel will be joining the Red Bulls. Supposedly there's no transfer fee, but Aston Villa also won't have to pay the final year of Angel's contract. It all depends on if the paperwork was completed and filed on time.
Ives has an update, his sources say the deal's done but there's nothing coming out of the Red Bulls on the deal. I guess we're still waiting...
Columbus: Chivas' rumored attempts at getting KC's designated player slot could've been related to rumored Crew signing Guillermo Barros Schelotto. The announcers even mentioned it during FSC's broadcast of the Boca-River Argentine classico Sunday afternoon. Schelotto did get into the match late, and was the main focus on the FSE broadcast afterwards.
Supposedly, Schelotto will have a press conference in Argentina on Tuesday to tell everyone what's going on. I don't know if Crew fans can hold out that long...
Some people in Columbus are saying he could be in the yellow and black for Thursday night's game against New England. Who knows at this point?
EDIT: These guys might, they're saying Schelotto has a flight booked for Ohio tomorrow. Hooray Village People!
Chivas USA: Now, in alternate rumor territory, reports are coming out of Argentina that Martin Palermo is also interested in coming to MLS. He was a rumored target of DCU during the offseason, but now he might be why the rumors started flowing about Chivas going after KC's DP slot.
The Crew fans are hoping that they could be getting both. Their heads really would explode if that happened...
Toronto: The (nickname to be inserted here) have also joined in the trasfer-a-palooza, signing Daniele Dichio of Preston North End. He had previously been with Sunderland, West Brom, and Sampdoria.
Los Angeles: The "Magical Mystery Tour", as it's been dubbed, will continue for Becks and Gals. It looks like they'll be stopping in Vancouver in late August for a match with the Whitecaps. Maybe they'll play every professional team in the US and Canada while he's here...

Why would KC trade away their DP slot when they're facing needing to use in 2008 if they are to hold on to Eddie Johnson?
That was my thought too, unless they either:
a) are trading the spot away just for 2007, supposedly this is allowed
b) aren't keeping Eddie Johnson after 2007
I dunno...
Who isn't coming?
Tiba.
