Sprinkles: The return

Kansas City: The Wiz were off from MLS play this weekend, but did get a friendly with the Seattle Sounders in. Eddie Johnson (I thought he had forgotten how), Jimmy Conrad, and Scott Sealy scored first half goals to lead KC to a 3-2 win. Fan accounts said Sealy was quite impressive. The reserves also played Saturday, getting a 2-2 draw with Evansville. Never discount the Purple Aces.

Columbus: Holy crap, the Crew are signing a Designated Player?!? MLS Undergound is reporting that the previously rumored Guillermo Barros Schelotto is coming for somewhere between $1-2 million per year. Schelotto is the Jeff Agoos of Argentina, having won more championships that any other player. He's a Boca Juniors legend, and asked that he be able to stay one more week in Argentina, in order to take on hated rivals River Plate. Will the Crew have a fanbase in Buenos Aires now? How will the Boca faithful take to the Village People logo?

New York: Markus Schopp is out with a sports hernia. Did he hang with Pat Noonan in the offseason?

The Bulls have sold 4,000 season tickets, which is short of their 5,600 goal. Credit goes to a conversation at a drunken Metro party, referenced here.

Dallas: Pablo Ricchetti has agreed to terms and signed his contract. Now, the official visa process can begin. From what I've heard, it shouldn't take too long. Hopefully, he'll be available this weekend, but it will probably be another week before he's eligible. There's also some roster issues the Hoops have to work through, but those could be solved by Ramon Nunez getting his green card. Otherwise, Dallas will need another Senior International slot somehow.

The Dallas reserves beat Tulsa 4-2 in a scrimmage on Sunday.
