Sprinkles: That means coach for you, Seth Stammler

New York: MLS has put the smackdown on Red Bull for, of all things, wanting to send the team on road trips on charter flights. I get the league is thinking, with them owning all the player contracts, they want competitive balance, I get it. That said, this is still pretty stupid. If Red Bull, or any other owner, wants to charter a plane for its team, they should be able to do it. Let MLS double check the teams' per diem payments if that they're worried about these things...

Salt Lake: Jean-Martial Kipre of the Ivory Coast is trialing with the team, and impressing Coach Ellinger. The only problems so far are that Kipre only speaks French and the team would have to release someone to make room for him. We'll see how this plays out during the rest of the Madrid training camp.

Also, Ellinger has shifted from the 3-5-2 he planned to play before camp to a more traditional 4-4-2. Ellinger also praised Junior Captain America, Nick Rimando, and new Panamanian signing Luis Tejada.

Chicago: Tony Sanneh is on the market, after he couldn't agree to terms with the Fire. Among others Chicago let go, John Thorrington is in Galaxy camp and Craig Capano has been impressing in New York.

Toronto: The only player taken in the MLS waiver draft was Jon Busch, and he'll be heading north to Toronto. He'll have to battle Canadian international Greg Sutton (formerly of Montreal Impact) for playing time.

DC: Posted earlier this morning on his excellent blog, Steven Goff of the Washington Post said that "The mystery Latin American that DCU is pursuing is an attacking player who can play different roles but is most comfortable as a midfielder. That's all I know at the moment." Let the speculation begin...

Houston: Team officials are refuting the reports of Cuauhtémoc Blanco joining the Sunkist stars. According to the report, Chicago is still interested. He's also getting more than $1 million from América, so he'd have to make at least that or more in MLS.

Dwayne De Rosario pulled his hamstring in the Puntarenas match and is out of training right now. He went to California with the team on their latest trip, but won't participate for a couple of days.
