Dallas: du Nord brought out that Dallas traded Mulrooney to Toronto to clear cap space for Pablo Ricchetti, previously of Valladolid and most recently of Quilmes. Since the name is making the rounds now, I would hope it's just a formality that he'll be joining the Hoops.
Colorado: The Rapids put up a fight against Valencia yesterday, but eventually fell 4-3. I saw some of the second half and there were two things that stood out. First, Terry Cooke is really dangerous on the right side of midfield. Second, Zach Thornton is a large, large man and surely loves the Cupcakes.
Chicago: The Fire have signed Erik Hort, who has been with Sparta Prague during the past two seasons. Hort is a young American right back who played with the U20 national team last summer. He featured for the Sparta reserves at right back.
Atlanta: The Silverbacks officially signed former FC Dallas defender/midfielder Justin Moore. Moore's originally from Atlanta, so the move made sense once he was released from the Hoops. He made two first team appearances last year. In a separate move, the club released Mauricio Salles, who they acquired in a trade earlier in the offseason. Not sure what to make of that one, I guess Salles didn't want to move to Atlanta or maybe there were visa issues. I would kind of stink if just ends up back in Montreal.
Los Angeles: Josh Gardner is still "officially" with the Galaxy, although he is not with the team on its preseason trip to Puerto Rico for a tournament this weekend. Releasing him would just be strange, you would think the Gals could at least get something for him in a trade. Couldn't Alexi get a new guitar out of him or something?
