Kandji update: Red Bulls trying to get more money to make the deal

Ives is reporting that the Red Bulls are trying to make a trade within MLS for allocation funds to pay for a transfer fee for Atlanta's Macoumba Kandji. I wonder if the price has went up, or if the Silverbacks were unwilling to lower the price to help New York out. The rumored figure has been $200,000.

This type of report makes it seem very serious that New York really wants to bring Kandji to the Big Apple. We'll see if they're able to make this happen. If Atlanta is ready to make the sale, hopefully they'll be able to get the best package possible.

After the sale/trade of Ansu Toure yesterday, I thought maybe that the Kandji deal had fallen through. Maybe not...
