The Times They Are A-Changin'

Notice anything different here?

We'll see what type of changes these changes bring...

For one, there's supposed be some new player signings announced shortly, pending league approval. Forward help should be one of the areas to be addressed. The roster actually looks to be in pretty good shape with training camp starting this week. According to their last release, there's 18 on the roster, with four players pending. 10-15 trialists will also be in camp during the initial phases.

Preseason games will be starting up sooner than you think, we're almost a month away from Opening Day.

It seemed as though all of the other USL1 teams were adding players and the Silverbacks were not until I discovered that they were returning fourteen players from last year and had signed four guys early. The team chemistry should be an advantage for them to start the season.

I forgot to add that I think the Silverbacks have improved their roster over last year but I think most of the teams in the league have also improved. This year should be the most competitive race to the finish that the USL1 has ever had. I hope that the MLS teams take the USOC more seriously this year and we can see a great competition between the two leagues.

The four FNG's for the Silverbacks are Andre Sherard, Blake Camp, Nathan Knox and Zach Kirby.
