"Disappointment proves that expectations were mistaken"

There will be more, but I wanted to get a post up about the USL Championship match real quick for you guys to use for comments.

Quick thoughts:
  • Midway through the year, no one expected Atlanta to be here, so props to them for the accomplishment.
  • That said, going down 4-0 in the title game hurts pretty bad.
  • Seattle is a class organization and team, and they deserve the chance to move up to MLS in 2009. There's different rumors about if the Sounders will participate in the USL-D1 in 2008, I guess we'll have to wait a few weeks to see. I hope they do, and I hope they use it as a chance to hype a team that's being "promoted" to MLS. Some of these players deserve to play at that level.
  • Seattle was the most organized team in the league in 2007. Other teams have better players at certain positions, but the Sounders work so well together.
  • I hate that Atlanta teams just can't win in Seattle. It's a deathbed for Atlanta championship hopes, always has been.
  • Sounded like a great atmosphere for the game on the telly, hope it was the same inside the stadium.
Like I said, there will be more later from the rest of the nation. Buenas noches.
