Welcome to Atlanta where the players play...The women's Silverbacks won their W-League semifinal 4-1 over Seattle. They've been waxing people in the playoffs, congrats to the ladies!
The Liga Lawrenceville U23's are also in a national final, overcoming St. Louis SC in the U23 National Cup semifinal in Seattle. Nestor Moreno had the first one for the locals, but then St. Louis pulled it back level early in the second half. After a red card that left the Lawrenceville side down a man, they fought back to score two late goals to win. Cesar Terrazas had the first off an unbelievable individual effort, and Osmar Guifarro had the the clincher late in stoppage time on an individual run. Great win for the boys, and they'll face a team from Oregon in the final on Sunday. Game time's at noon Pacific, 3:00 Eastern.
