"I'd give that guy a card for being awesome"

Great night out at the RE/MAX tonight, with the Gorillas winning 3-0 over Puerto Rico. There's just something about the Islanders, they looked like they completely ran out of gas in the second half. I wonder when the last time was that they hung out on the island, I don't think they went back after playing in Seattle last weekend. Horrible road trip there...

Macoumba Kandji had a great game tonight, forcing the first penalty, scoring the second goal, and causing general havoc for the rest of the night. As much as I like Antoniuk, the combo of Mac and Millwood at the end of the game up top was deadly. Maybe it'd be a good time to give Dizzy a night off. From all accounts, he's under contract for at least another year, so he should be back unless the price is right.

Great crowd out at the stadium tonight as well, they picked a fun night to come see. The schedule gets really unkind from here on out. They're off to Miami for a game Sunday night, then they head off to Carolina, Seattle, and Minnesota. The last home game of the regular season against Puerto Rico is followed by a brutal trip to Montreal, followed by Vancouver 2 days later. Hopefully they'll just be playing for playoff position at that point.

Things are looking pretty good at this point in the Monkey House. The tacos y micheladas go down pretty easy after a 3-0 win. Congrats to los rojos!

Damn you're quick...

My bad, I posted a little quick, I guess I was a little too excited (or consumed too many Tecates!)

The Deadly Duo. I like that.

The commentators on FSC kept referring to Jason Smith as 'grinning all over himself' and how he just couldn't stop grinning when they asked about Mac. Why didn't they just say "fat, dumb and happy"? Who wouldn't be after that performance?

Nice performance by the strike force last night. Mad props to Millwood on his return and lovefest with 109 after his goal. The home stretch should allow for plenty of play for our deep, quick and crafty attackers.

Remember kids "speed kills"...

I also think PR ran out of gas. They are not accustomed to 105 degrees with smog and absolutely no fresh air. The type of heat they get is different than in the ATL this time of year. The fumes that settle in from the connector is a killer.

In the words of the Red Hot Chili Peppers:

Under the bridge downtown
Is where I drew some blood
Under the bridge downtown
I could not get enough
Under the bridge downtown
Forgot about my love
Under the bridge downtown
I gave my life away
Yeah, yeah yeah...
