Sprinkles: Mid-week variety

Los Angeles: The Gals won their Open Cup qualifier over the debuting Juan Pablo Angel and the Red Bulls last night 3-1. It was scoreless at the end of regulation time, and both teams were down to ten after red cards to Dema Kovalenko (no shock) and Cobi Jones (huh?). Donovan, Martino, and Quaranta scored for LA, Angel scored his first for the Red Bulls. Joe Cronin was a star in goal for the Galaxy.

Check out our buddies at Sideline Views for the best coverage of the match.

Salt Lake:
He's not quite the next Tiger Woods. Junior Captain America Freddy Adu was hit in the head with a golf ball. Maybe it knocked some sense into him, he shot a +3 after getting nailed.

Kansas City: Is this guy Glass Joe or what? Jimmy Conrad has re-fractured his jaw again after a forearm smash from Ricardo Virtuoso of the Crew.

Toronto: adidas can't keep up with the demand for Toronto FC gear. The Canadians love their grass hockey without sticks, eh?

DC: United has another lad from the Fulham youth system on trial this week. It worked out for Kasali Yinka Casal, so who knows? There's also talk about Polish central defender as well. It looks like things are not good for Facundo Erpen in DC these days.
