US Open Cup report, Round 2

Unfortunately, the tournament won't visit Atlanta this year as the Silverbacks fell 1-0 in Miami. Atlanta FC didn't make it out of the USASA qualifying round down in Jacksonville. It's a shame, I love this tournament and the craziness that can happen in it.

We've had one upset tonight, as Cleveland City scored two goals in extra time to defeat the USL-D1 Thunder in Minnesota. Charleston needed all the time they could get, as a last minute PK gave them the win over nearby rivals Charlotte. The Railhawks waited until stoppage time to put away newcomers Real Maryland.
The last bit of drama will take place in Seattle as Hollywood United of the USASA visits the defending USL-D1 champions. The Sounders get bonus points for playing Young MC's "Bust a Move" during the pregame. Will that be enough to overcome Cinderella? We'll see. Check it out for free on USL Live.

Well, I guess mid-'80's rap pumps up the Sounders, they score in the 3rd minute and this could be over already. I might keep updating, depends on how long this stays interesting...

Not too long evidently, 2-0 Seattle and I'm checking out.
