Steve Goff over at the Soccer Insider is reporting that there will be a teleconference Monday at 4:00 to address the status of USWNT coach Greg Ryan.That undefeated streak was nice, but the embarrassment of the World Cup semifinal destruction, the horrible PR moves made by Ryan in SoloGate, and the general poor level of play for the team at the World Cup eventually added up. I'm glad that Gulati and US Soccer is not satisfied with the third place finish, even though some of the veteran players on the team sure made it seem like it was great.
We'll see who's on the short list to replace Ryan as the team prepares for next summer's Olympics shortly.
