Silverbacks lose in Montreal

Didn't get to see the game due to some work commitments, but the Silverbacks dropped their next to last game of the season 1-0 in Montreal. The Impact scored right at the end of the first half, and held out for the shutout.

Atlanta was missing some guys due to suspension, and were able to rest a few others (possibly because of nagging injuries, I'm not sure). One last regular season game in Vancouver remains on Friday, then it's playoff time. A point there will assure 4th place, a loss could open things open for a whole host of possibilities.

Mtl 1 Atl 0
I thought Atlanta did well with some of the second line guys tonight. They neutralized the Mtl midfield and took Gbeke completely out of the game. I think he had only one shot. The Silverbacks are going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs if they can get all of their players back.

Vancouver still has Portland to play after Atl.

Right, but if Atlanta gets a point in Vancouver, it would limit the Whitecaps to only 41 points possible, while Atlanta would end with 43.

A loss makes things really complicated.
